Advocacy – Schools Library Service Case Study

Background

The LEA decided to run a 1 day conference for School Advisers on “Learning Resources and Providers” focusing on how these could help to enhance achievement in schools.  The aims were to raise current awareness of what was available, how it might be used, and who to contact – with a view to building this into Education Development Plan/Continuing Professional Development training and curriculum planning in schools. SLS seized the opportunity to advocate their services to key people.
